Use of the Transition2.org website is restricted to employees of the companies currently participating in the Transition2.org program. Each company so participating will require website visitors to validate themselves as eligble participants by supplying company specific credentials at the time of registration. This policy will be updated as additonal companies join and/or leave the program to reflect any additonal privacy requirements specific to that company.
Transition2.org Registration
Only personal information necessary for participant registration will be collected through this website. The registration process for use of the Transition2.org site will collect the user’s name and email address only. Contact information obtained through registration is used to support your participation in various functions of the site, to support site administrative functions, and to provide you with Transition2.org related correspondence.
The sector sponsors may, on their own websites, collect additional personal information from users visiting such websites and the collection, handling and storage of personal information by the sector sponsors will be in accordance with the privacy policies of the sector sponsors, not this privacy policy. We will not use the personal information you submit through registration for the Transition2.org site for marketing purposes or to provide you information on new programs, products, services and offerings of the Transition2.org program. Moreover, we will never sell or share the personal information you provide or we collect through this website to third parties without your consent.
In some cases Transition2.org administrators may use aggregated and/or anonymous information for marketing, product development, strategic or research purposes. These administrators include individuals from IBM and other companies who participate in the program.
People who are contacted by Transition2.org are provided with a means of informing us that they would not like to receive such information through the “opt-out” process detailed below. However, contacts from our other sector sponsors to you are based solely on registration information you provide to them via their user interface(s). We will always notify you when you are leaving the Transition2.org site and proceeding to a sector sponsor site as the transition process may sometimes require.

Public Forums
This site may make message boards, news groups, and other social networking, and web 2.0 functionality available to its users. Any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information and users should exercise caution when deciding to disclose personal information.

If you registered with Transition2.org and submitted personal information on this website, you will be able to change your information at any time using the secure user profile of the site after you login.
